The present study is to investigate the inner mental status of\u00a0unemployed men, especially focus on their existential situation and\u00a0state in the unemployed men. Materials of the unemployment\u00a0experience and career history are gathered to be used in the thematic\u00a0and life frame analyses. Results show that the life before the first time\u00a0employment case 1 hold that \u201cjob is to maintain a stable life.\u201d He\u00a0attached to a large textile mill until the life-frame changed with the\u00a0closedown of the factory. Before the second unemployment, case 1 saw\u00a0life as \u201cworking is propped up for life and family\u201d and \u201cwork may\u00a0surmount the possibility of environmental limits.\u201d He tried to make it\u00a0through tactics such as \u201chis physical vigor\u201d, \u201cthere will be work on the\u00a0making,\u201d and \u201csetting up a cooperative working network extensively.\u201d\u00a0etc.. However, he ended up unemployed due to the slow business cycle\u00a0of construction industry. Case 2 used to be a sales manager in consumer\u00a0goods, his life frame in this stage was \u201cto work is to pursue long-term\u00a0development\u201d and \u201ccompany is where people can get together as\u00a0brothers.\u201d He worked only in one company to pursue his sense of\u00a0achievement through promotion. Besides, brotherhood is also very\u00a0important in his life. Yet, his life frame and meaningfulness was\u00a0impacted by the reorganizing and been laid off. Existential analysis\u00a0shows the unemployed men felt unreconciled or unworthy, or even\u00a0hopeless.<\/p>\n
